Resort helps benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Hawaii
Division.
Mixed Martial Arts Expert Robert Ferguson and three-time Olympian Matt
Biondi will help kick off this fun fitness event!
Ferguson is being inducted into the
World Martial Arts Hall of Fame this month. The co-author of Fat
That Doesn't Come Back, Ferguson is a Master Weight-Loss Coach,
television personality and former mixed martial arts world champion.
Together with his wife and co-author, Krista Clarke, he owns and
operates four Wellness Weight-Loss, Inc. offices in Southern
California.
Recently inducted into the Olympic Hall
of Fame, Biondi earned a total of 11 medals in swimming – eight
gold, two silver and one bronze – in the 1984, 1988 and 1992
Olympics. He is considered to be one of the greatest competitive
freestyle swimmers in the history of the sport.
An Emmy award-winning television
journalist, Chun serves as Sports Director at KGMB 9 News, and is
the first and only female sports anchor in the state of Hawaii. Born
and raised in the islands, Chun is an avid sports enthusiast who
paddles competitively, runs in marathons, and enthusiastically
covers Hawaii’s sports scene.
“The Power Walk will directly help more
than 4,900 people with multiple sclerosis in Hawaii,” said Lisa
Barnett of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Hawaii
Division. “The funds raised will go a long way toward providing
much needed programs and services for people with MS, and continue
to assist in the search for a cure.”
